A PERENTIE on a restored former mine site in Western Australia’s Mid-West was fitted with a tracking device and monitored for three weeks to see how it responded to habitat change and restoration.

Researchers at the Curtin University-based Australian Research Council for Mine Site Restoration tagged a perentie - Australia's largest goanna species - to get an understanding of how it responded
