COKAL is preparing a detailed budget to for channel improvements at 28 sites along the upper Barito River in Kalimantan to increase the number of annual operating days the river is suitable for barging.

Cokal is developing a barging strategy for its BBM project in Kalimantan.

This is intended to develop a 75m wide channel to be used by barges and push boat capable of operating in water only 2m deep.
