NSW and SEQ drag down Aurizon coal volumes

AURIZON’S March quarter coal volumes were flat compared to the previous corresponding period at 51.8 million tonnes with higher central Queensland volumes offset by lower New South Wales and South East Queensland volumes.

The company said coal volume expectations for FY2020 remain unchanged at 210Mt-220Mt.

Central Queensland March quarter volumes were 2% higher compared to the previous corresponding period at 37Mt largely due to the negative impact in the previous period of protected industrial action.
