Sheffield opens Derby doors

WESTERN Australia’s Premier Mark McGowan has officially opened a local office in Derby, in WA’s far north, for Sheffield Resources and its burgeoning Thunderbird mineral sands mine.

The Thunderbird project, midway between the towns of Broome and Derby, will operate on a drive-in, drive-out basis so employees can live and work locally and salaries stay in the region.
