Government eases Cliffs pain with royalty relief

WESTERN Australia’s Government has admitted it gave US miner Cleveland Cliffs a $5 million royalty rebate payment and a free pass on $123.75 million in royalty revenues from the Koolyanobbing mine, as well as $113.1 million to the Southern Ports Association, in the wash-up of the sale of the Koolyanobbing mine.
