Newcastle to Maitland rail line reopened after flooding

THE Australian Rail Track Corporation has resumed full rail operations on the Hunter Valley Network between Newcastle and Maitland in New South Wales. Parts of the network had been closed due to localised flooding.

Coal services that were running in a limited capacity had returned to standard operations.
