Derailment and weather throw Aurizon's earnings off track

PROLONGED wet weather and a recent derailment in central Queensland are largely to blame for Aurizon's above-rail coal volumes and network volumes being down 8% and 2% respectively in the first half of the 2022-23 financial year.
