THE Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has announced it will not oppose Moly-Cop’s proposed acquisition of fellow grinding media maker Donhad.

Bringing Moly-Cop and Donhad together will create an even bigger grinding media maker.

The US-owned Moly-Cop, which was spun out of Arrium Steel as part of the Korda Mentha restructuring works there, and the US-owned Donhad are the only two domestic manufacturers of forged steel
