The unit is a 10,000 litre water storage cannon for dust suppression model CDC-10K, the first of its kind in the market.


Crown Dust Control director Daniel Whyte will launch the unit into the domestic market at the Queensland Mining Expo later in the month.


Whyte said dust suppression on mine sites was often a challenge, not just in an employee occupational health and safety context but for nearby towns and communities too.

Whyte said the unit was the only one of its kind to be fully enclosed, which made it safer to use than current set systems.
