Enhanced with Puregraph, a graphene-enhanced material made by First Graphene, the Armourgraph bucket liner was provided by wear protection and lining product maker Newgen.

Early indications suggest the test run was successful, with the Armourgraph bucket liner showing no signs of advanced wear or scalloping such as liners currently in use would after 24 weeks of continual operation in the harsh Pilbara conditions.

While the trial will run for another 12 weeks, the iron ore miner appears to be happy with the results thus far, with a second Armourgraph bucket liner being installed at the same site.

First Graphene expects this to lead to further installations of Armourgraph liners with other NewGen clients soon.

First Graphene managing director Craig McGuckin said Puregraph enhanced products continued to provide excellent performance in trials being conducted by the iron ore producer.

"We are encouraged by these trials, as only First Graphene has the capacity to deliver high volumes of high-quality graphene to users when they adopt graphene into their products," he said.
