Fairhill and Wilton gain Qld approval

THE QUEENSLAND government has approved Futura Resources’ Fairhill and Wilton projects near Emerald, which together will produce up to 3 million tonnes per annum of metallurgical coal.

 Construction is set to begin in early 2023, with coal production expected within six months and transported through the Port of Gladstone.
