SRG Global managing director David Macgeorge said the Bartek acquisition aligned with SRG Global's objective to expand its engineered products business both domestically and internationally.

"I am particularly pleased that under ownership, we will be able to leverage the Bartek product offering and well-established international supply chain to continue to grow SRG Global's engineered products business and deliver against a key element of the leadership phase of our strategy," he said.

The acquisition was structured as an asset purchase transaction, effective from December 1 2022.

Bartek supplies engineered couplers, precast ferrules, starter bars, threaded anchors and rebar threading services to clients across Australia and New Zealand.

Macgeorge said the acquisition would significantly expand the product range of SRG Global's engineered products business and enhance its position as a leading rebar coupler supplier to the infrastructure and building sectors.

The acquisition could also deliver improved purchasing arrangements through direct supply from long-term international suppliers.
