ARCH Coal has appointed Sheila Feldman as its vice president of human resources, effective February 3.
Feldman was previously vice president of human resources and public affairs for Solutia Inc.
Arch president and chief executive Steven Leer said Feldman's 25 years of human resources experience would make her a strong asset for the company's management team.
Feldman replaces Brad Allbritten, who was named vice president of marketing for Arch in August.
Allbritten now has responsibility for the company's coal marketing, trading, transportation and contract administration functions.
