“High performance mine production, synonymous with increasing efficiency in raw materials extraction has become a deciding factor in determining the economic success of a mining operation,” organizers said.

“Some important factors affecting productivity are: advances in propulsion and extractive technology, automation, preventative maintenance, logistics, planning and organization. In many cases, performance is enhanced through attention to detail. Benchmarking between different mining operations and sectors can point out areas which have potential for improvement.”

Representatives from the mining industry, scientific and financial communities from Australia, China, Japan, South Africa, USA and the EU will be giving presentations and outlining the industry´s current status.
