Olivieri, who holds years of experience in the area of marketing mine management and machine control systems, will work for the Pennsylvania-based outfit from an office in Tucson, Arizona. He will be responsible for the management of Rajant's coal-mining, hard rock and open-pit sectors of business, and will play a role in the company's international growth.
Prior to joining Rajant, he worked in strategic marketing development for Caterpillar's MineStar system (including CAESultra and the Aquila Drill and Dragline Management systems) and served as a marketing manager for Tucson-based Modular Mining Systems.
"I'm pleased to welcome Frank to Rajant as he brings a proven track record of success and over eighteen years of mine management and machine control systems sales experience," said company senior vice president Gary Anderson.
Earlier this year the company, along with Hannah Engineering and Sanmina-SCI, announced they had collaborated to provide the country's first approved wireless phone communication from an underground coal mine.
