Final miner found in China

THE death toll from a gas explosion at a mine in central China stands at 13 after the last victim's body was found on Saturday morning.

Seventeen miners were working underground when the blast occurred at about 6.30pm local time last Wednesday. Three escaped and another miner was rescued early Friday morning.

 

China's official news agency Xinhua reported that the last missing miner's body was found at 2.00am on Saturday.
