The company has sent two rigs to the site and air core drilling will also continue over expanded parts of the project area, with diamond drilling planned for a number of holes.

International’s drill program at South Blackall continued in February with results indicating the presence of coal seams within all holes drilled.

Coal seams have been intersected at relatively shallow depth of between 30m and 50m in a number of holes with cumulative seam thicknesses to depth exceeding 10-15m in a number of holes.

Drilling at International’s EPC2197 was over approximately 150sq.km to date with positive coal intersects from holes drilled closer to the centre of the project area, the company said.
