Financial terms of the asset purchase agreement were not disclosed but from here on DKS will operate as HDR-DKS.

HDR is a global firm headquartered in the US which specialises in architecture, engineering, consulting and construction.

It was contracted to build the Hoover Dam bypass project and is currently providing planning, architectural and engineering design services for the materials and science engineering building at the University of New South Wales.

Established in 2005, DKS provides civil engineering, project management and consulting services for road infrastructure and land development.

HDR Engineering president Eric Keen said the purchase of DKS gave the firm an important platform for future Australian growth.

“We see Australia as a long-term market for HDR,” he said.

“We support many clients in resource development and public infrastructure and DKS gives us a strong Queensland presence that we can build upon.”
