The parts.cat.com website offers batteries, filters, machine engine rebuild kits, lights, hand tools, radios, hardware and O-rings from Caterpillar’s authorized dealers.

"Australia is the first market in Asia-Pacific to launch parts.cat.com, which augments the customer support presently available via Cat dealers including prompt parts delivery and the spread of more than 6000 dealer technicians across the country," Caterpillar Australia-Pacific regional manager Jeremy Canham said.

Canham said the list of parts available would expand rapidly over the coming months.

Other information accessible on the website includes cross-referencing equipment, informational videos and specs on Caterpillar’s original, classic and remanufactured parts.

Once the customer has proceeded to the checkout section of the website, they can then access the Caterpillar service information system for additional technical information and parts books.

Pick-up or delivery from the Cat dealer branch is available and payment can be made online.

"Caterpillar and Cat dealers understand the importance of adapting to our customers' changing business needs," Canham added.

"Our online presence through the ecommerce website, parts.cat.com, delivers greater ease and convenience for customers to purchase parts from Cat dealers anywhere in Australia."
