The campaign consisted of 64 diamond coreholes along with 21 large-diameter coreholes to unearth about 300kg of material for wash testing and product scoping.
Atrum is planning to complete a bulk sample that will aid its offtake discussions with potential customers from Japan, Korea, China and India over October and November.
“We are on track to deliver on what we promised and I look forward to updating the market on both exploration results and offtake discussions in the coming weeks,” Atrum managing director Dr Eric Lilford said.
The project has 1.57 billion tonnes of resources with 16 million tonnes in the measured category.
While the PFS will further define the project parameters, it has 1.5Mt per annum of port capacity starting in 2014 and the potential to secure 5Mtpa more to start in 2016.
