NationWide chairman Martin Rasmussen said Harrison would be responsible for the company’s ongoing business in Australia.

“I am certain he will lead our staff – and the company as a whole – toward future growth and success,” Rasmussen said.

“His extensive and active industry experience makes him superbly qualified to serve as the NationWide Hire CEO during this period of expansion.”

Harrison described his appointment as a great honour.

“NationWide has a long history in meeting customers’ needs and with our strong leadership team we can continue to take advantage of the momentum we have created across Australia,” Harrison said.

“As the industries we service continue to evolve, our success will continue to be defined by a combination of great people driving great strategy and outcomes.”

NationWide continues to expand its network across Australia and recently opened facilities in Port Hedland and Adelaide.

“This complements our existing network greatly and allows us to better service our national clients,” Harrison said.

“We expect to make further announcements soon about future improvements and our improved network expansion.”

NationWide’s business takes in clients within the pipeline, mining, rail, energy, civil and construction sectors, where it specialises in offroad and project-specific trucks, including made-to-order modular units and accessories.
