Designed for iron ore and copper mining, the P&H 285XPC provides a maximum 53,524kg of bit loading for 270mm and 311mm diameter holes.

“This new drill will carry on the P&H legacy for durability,” Joy Global product manager Eric Wilkinson said.

“It will feature the same powerful propel structures and robust pulldown systems as our other P&H drills.”

The blasthole drill features a universal drill cab and common controls found on other P&H drills. Its UDC provides a clear, unobstructed view of the drilling area and the surrounding environment.

Along with its expansive windows and video cameras, operator visibility and situational awareness is heightened during drilling and propelling.

To protect the operator from harsh mining conditions, the FOPS Level II certified chassis includes shatter-resistant glass.
