The plant has a 55m chain overhaul yard and storage yard facility and it will be introducing a new machine shop.

It also boasts a drive sprocket overhauls facility and larger warehouse to accommodate additional stock with current projects.

Longwall Chain Australia supplies JDT chains to Australia’s largest producing longwall mines and is currently supplying a JDT 52mm F-Class HO chain, forged flight bars and Longwall Associates sprockets for an upgraded AFC system.

Working closely with Longwall Associates has enabled Longwall Chain Australia to expand its operations of being able to supply the complete AFC and BSL chain system, the company said.

“We have recently employed additional engineering personnel with that have actually worked on the longwalls,” it said.

“It is important on being able to provide this industry experience back to our customers.”

The company said it has further expansion plans in the pipeline over the next 18 months.
