THE Clean Energy Regulator has added 28 companies to the list of liable entities under the Carbon Price Mechanism.

Richard Collins

The changes to the Liable Entities Public Information Database were based on new information provided to the CER about facilities over the 25,000 tonne emissions threshold.

Among those added were:

* Orica;

* Paper Australia;

* Jemena's Queensland gas pipeline;

* AGL Energy Services and four other subsidiaries;

* three Alinta entities, including WA co-generation facilities at Pinjarra and Wagerup; and

* Dalby Bio-Refinery.

There are now 351 potentially liable entities published on the LEPID.
