When fully operational, the Moorvale camp will house 480 accommodation units with support facilities including a kitchen, dining and wet mess area, laundry facilities, recreational facilities and sports centre comprising a gymnasium, squash and multi-purpose courts and a 25m swimming pool.

Construction will begin immediately on the $22 million first stage of the development, which comprises 330 accommodation units and support facilities.

Civmec managing director Stuart Cuthbert said Civmec would engage the services of a number of VDM companies to complete the project.

"Burchill VDM will be responsible for the overall design of the project and environmental approval process," he said.

"The buildings will be constructed using the Quickloc building system from our Ultrabuild division."

The first stage is expected to be finished by November next year.
