Coffey International this week finalised the deal to acquire Geoexplore Consultoria e Servios Ltda, after making the initial announcement late September.
Coffey International will merge Geoexplore with subsidiary Coffey Mining.
"The bringing together of Geoexplore and Coffey Mining capabilities has already enabled us to provide downstream services to Geoexplore's exploration project management clients in areas of competent persons reports, valuations and feasibility studies," Coffey Mining chief executive Dan O'Toole said.
"Coffey Mining's clients in Africa and Australia will benefit from application of Geoexplore's specialist mining data management software. Geoexplore and Coffey Mining staff are already working together on a number of these opportunities."
Geoexplore has more than 350 permanent staff, bringing the total number of people employed by Coffey Mining to more than 750.
Coffey Mining now has an office presence on three continents - Africa, Australia and South America - in addition to projects in more than 60 countries.
