Revamped exploration tool MinView

Web mapping service MinView has been upgraded and released by the NSW Department of Primary Industries.

MinView helps explorers investigate past and current exploration tenements in the state and has just become more useful.

One new feature allows users to lodge and pay for their exploration licence applications online.

MinView reconciles licence applications against competing land tenure, including other mineral tenements and conservation areas, before it passes information on to online payment.

It also provides an email service to registered users with reminders of upcoming exploration licence expiry dates.

DPI Geological Survey director Lindsay Gilligan said the new-look MinView system with its improved interface would help explorers.
