Ukraine miners killed in blast

FOUR miners in eastern Ukraine's Donbass coal mining region have been killed and several others remain missing following an underground coal blast.

The explosion occurred on Thursday night at the Krasnolimanskaya mine whilst 1200 miners were working underground.

According to Reuters 12 miners were working in the immediate vicinity of the blast and three managed to walk out unharmed.

Four bodies have been recovered and news reports put the number still missing at between five and seven.
