The merger of the two businesses has given Inbye the additional ability to offer an equipment maintenance and overhaul facility from Standen’s Rutherford facility.
On 5 acres of restriction free industrial land and consisting of two workshops, one with two 20 tonne overhead cranes and a large floor borer, the facility is suitable for longwall equipment manufacture and overhaul.
Inbye mainly focuses on the overhaul of longwall equipment including roof supports, AFCs and stageloaders. To date, the company has completed roof support overhauls for Tahmoor and Southland and has completed various rebuild and repair contracts for Cumnock, United, West Wallsend, South Bulga, Newstan and Wyee collieries. The company also has a two year contract with EDI Rail to machine bolster assemblies for the new generation Sydney trains.
Inbye also represents and supports equipment from a number of overseas equipment manufacturers and plans to extend its product base over the course of the next six months.
Inbye has formed an alliance with the Nepean group of companies, which will allow it to have work carried out in Nepean Conveyors workshop facilities in Mackay, Queensland and Picton, New South Wales, as well as the Nepean Engineering facilities at Narellan, NSW. Inbye now employs 30 staff.
