Seebach is the manufacturer of Seebach and Unitech filtration products that are used worldwide. The Unitech company, another subsidiary company of Seebach GmbH, was dissolved in 2000 and all Seebach and Unitech products are now manufactured under the Seebach name.
Seebach's core business is filtration for mining, power generation, chemical, and heavy equipment. Established and owned by the brothers Bela and Stefan Seebach in 1970, Seebach has set a clear goal of manufacturing their high quality products in the United States.
"Manufacturing in the US is the next logical step for our company," said Bela Seebach, one of the founding brothers of Seebach GmbH. "We are very excited by the potential in the US, and manufacturing there will only make our products even more competitive in the US market."
Seebach GmbH has extensive knowledge in mining filtration and is the OEM for filtration products used by many equipment manufacturers including DBT, Kamat, Voith, Hauhinco and Tiefenbach, to name a few, and the preferred filter supplier for RAG Germany.
"Our focus is to provide first class products and service to companies currently using Seebach products, as well as to expand our market share throughout the mining industry," said Brian Edmonds, vice president of Seebach America. "Quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction is the foremost concern of Seebach GmbH, and that philosophy is common throughout the Seebach group of companies."
Seebach manufactures a complete range of state of the art filtration systems for low pressure to high pressure longwall/mining hydraulic systems up to 12,000 PSI.
"We have the advantage of being able to supply a total filtration package, including manual and automatic high pressure backflush filters for main filtration and roof supports, return filtration systems, staple lock and super stecko inline filters, Y strainers, and backflushable water filters from 50 gpm to 1000+ gpm," Edmonds said.
"The majority of Seebach filters are manufactured from stainless steel, and are designed to work reliably in harsh mining environments. One thing that sets our high pressure filters apart is their ability to withstand high differential pressures without bypass valves. Other filters may be rated at 5000 PSI working pressure, but 5000 PSI differential pressure is something else. The last thing you want is a filter that will collapse, allowing a slug of contamination to pass to the longwall face. This is not an issue with Seebach filters."
In addition to stainless steel element filters, Seebach also has an extensive line of replacement elements for competitors' housings. The company size and manufacturing process allows it to be flexible with designs to meet customers' needs.
"If a customer needs an element for their current housing with a modification or improvement that will help their system, we can make the filter to the customer’s requirements with very fast deliveries," Edmonds said.
Seebach America can provide a range of services including underground system evaluations, hydraulic trouble shooting, filter inspections, roof support performance evaluations, rebuilds, multipass testing, and fluid analysis to determine ISO cleanliness.
"Seebach supplies more than quality products. We provide quality service and analysis services to ensure the customer's equipment maintains peak performance. Seebach America's in-depth knowledge of longwall shields and AFC equipment gives us a distinct advantage when troubleshooting an existing system or putting together a complete filtration package."
