ORGANISERS of the 2007 Aachen International Mining Symposia (AIMS) have invited international experts from industry and research institutions to submit abstracts to be considered for presentations.

Next year’s fourth symposium will be held May 30-31 in Germany and will focus on “high-performance mine production”

The symposium will centre around operational experiences, productivity increase, operations planning, logistics and machine technology plus a special emphasis on automation and IT-supported processes, the transition of openpit to underground, and large-scale underground mines.

Abstracts are due before October 6, 2006. More information can be found at www.aims.rwth-aachen.de
