Miner injured in Ohio mine

A MINER was injured Tuesday morning by a rock fall in the mine where he was working.

Jeff Hill was injured at the Buckingham mine No. 2, near Glouster, southeast Ohio.

Hill was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor head and shoulder injuries and then released, the Associated Press reported.

The room and pillar mine, owned by Buckingham Coal Company, produces around 1 million tonnes per annum.
