The Mining Blog allows miners to discuss issues and ideas in an open and accessible forum.

The launch of the Mining Blog, an online portal where miners can add comments and discuss issues, is expected to open up the communication lines between miners from different regions, states and countries.

Managing director of miningreference.com Calvin Close has spent almost 20 years in the NSW coal mining industry and said having a place online allows people from all over Australia (and the rest of the world) to discuss just about any topic relating to the mining industry.

“The discussion is not limited to a person's circle of friends, peers or even the local town. We have removed barriers such as geographical location and thrown wide open the discussions to anyone that wants to participate,” Close said.

The Mining Blog can be accessed at http://www.theminingblog.com or from the miningreference.com website: http://www.miningreference.com.
