The 4500sq.m facility in Somersby has been purpose-built to provide more room for the company’s expanding business.

The new office and warehouse includes washdown facilities, B-double truck access, 3-phase power, night lighting and increased storage capacity.

As well as supplying a complete line of longwall equipment ranging from chain connectors through to complete longwall solutions, Ellton also provides chain assembly, rebuilding and monitoring for armoured face conveyor (AFC) and beam stage loader (BSL) chains.

“This new facility gives us the ability to assemble and service AFC and BSL chain safer, faster and to a higher standard than ever before,” sales manager Mitch Newton said.

“Timing is always a factor when it comes to the installation of AFC and BSL chain, and now Ellton is as flexible as needed to complete this work to a faster turnaround rate,” he added.

Ellton is the exclusive distributor for Parson Mining chain and connectors in Australia, also supplying products such as material-handling chains, roof supports, face conveyors and beam stage loaders.
