The vehicle has gone to the Caledon Cook colliery in Far North Queensland.
The four-wheel utility vehicle is powered by an 8-litre supercharged Hino engine and has a lifting capacity of up to 12 tonnes.
VLI has also launched its H series Driftrunner.
Part of the development platform for the H series includes a Hino diesel engine that delivers an increase in power and torque of more than 45% but cuts particulate emissions by 50%.
The engine is coupled with a hydrostatic drive that VLI says gives the vehicle better performance than previous models.
The H series also has a VLI developed and owned electronic monitoring system that gives live monitoring and data capture of inputs including engine speed, vehicle speed, supercharger lubrication temperature, two-wheel drive/four-wheel drive clutch lubrication temperature and engine hours.
There are plans to extend this to enable additional inputs and allow wireless data transfer.
