Finning Canada said its hourly paid employees had voted in support of a collective agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers – Local 99.
The union represents about 2200 of its staff in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
The three-year deal is now in effect and expires on April 30, 2016.
It includes a 3% wage increase in the first year, while years two and three will have increases of 3.5% and 3.75% respectively.
“I am pleased with this positive outcome, we are committed to building a constructive relationship with our union and this marks an important step forward for the company,” Finning International chief operating officer and Finning Canada president Juan Carlos Villegas said.
The agreement can be viewed at the IAMAW 99 website.
Vancouver-based Finning operates in western Canada, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, the UK and Ireland.
