Schneider Electric appoints new industry chief

Rambach, who will oversee operations in three key sectors – Mining, Minerals and Metals, Food & Beverage and Water/Wastewater – has over 15 years in senior management positions and has professional experience in manufacturing, R&D, program and business management across a range of industries.

Stephen Coop, Schneider Electric's zone president Pacific, said industry is increasingly looking to optimise existing assets as Australia’s economic environment "moves through a significant period of change brought about by factors such as commodity prices, social / environmental pressures and a shift in global demand for Australian products and resources".

"Philippe’s appointment will help Schneider Electric deliver best-of-breed solutions and products that can help manufacturing and critical infrastructure operations to maximise the performance of their existing plants and facilities.”

Schneider Electric is developing synergies across the multiple solution and service domains of its organisation, while at the same time implementing an aggressive growth strategy for its products.

Rambach spent the last few years as a VP for Schneider Electric in France across the Variable Frequency Drives Business and the Intelligent Electronic Devices Business. Before this he spent a substantial period in Areva T&D before it was sold to Schneider Electric.
