“RUS Mining Services is looking forward to working with Peabody Energy and contributing to the successful operation of the mine,” the company said.

“This achievement is a positive step forward for RUS Mining in the current mining industry climate and is an example of the company’s versatility and ability to provide a range of underground mining services.”

RUS Mining, which has more than 30 years’ experience in the design, development and installation of secondary support systems, also provides drift and roadway development, spiling, and roof and bolting system installation.

“Our geotechnical and mining engineers are continually developing innovative reinforcement and installation systems,” the company said. “RUS Mining has developed fully compliant drill rigs that include air and electric over hydraulic powered systems.”

RUS Mining’s Dragon Fly drill rig is able to operate with extremely high installation rates, even in areas of low air pressure because of its combination of air motor, hydraulic pump, drill motor and mast.
