Announced by Fair Work Commission senior deputy president Justice Alan Boulton last week, the CFMEU, AMWU and CEPU unions all won a nearly 10% super increase from BMA with the amount going up from $302.41 per week to $331.01 per week as soon as possible.
“The finalisation of this matter by the parties by agreement is a welcome development and provides a sound basis for the discussions and negotiations which will commence later this year regarding the next enterprise agreement,” Boulton said.
The increase came after a series of discussions and negotiations between the unions and BMA along with two conferences convened by FWC. The agreement was made over the relevant super clause (18.3) of the existing BMA EA 2012.
