White chooses Cessnock to test fines processing technology

WHITE Energy’s Cessnock operations focused much of its attention on the further evaluation of its North American Mountainside Coal Company’s coals fines at the demonstration scale during the September quarter.

A number of briquetting machine modifications and processing techniques have been employed and provided added refinement of White Energy’s BCB technology for its application to the MCC project.

With the wash plant at MCC having received further fine‐tuning to produce an even higher purity fines product stream, an additional bulk shipment of material has been despatched to Cessnock for testing.

The smaller scale pilot plant has conducted a number of preliminary trials on materials supplied by an Indian company interested in the BCB technology, and product briquettes have been returned to the client for evaluation.
