The Minnesota-based company said the first new lab was at its regional headquarters in Wuxi, China, at the Greater China R&D Center and will focus on the expansion of Donaldson’s engine products segment in the area.
The location, which opened August 1, will handle many performance testing procedures including high precision restriction curves, dust holding capacity, initial and overall efficiencies, and water separation efficiency.
At Donaldson’s regional headquarters and manufacturing plant in Gurgaon in the state of Haryana, India, the company opened a new air intake testing lab on August 1.
That facility will allow its engineering teams to have full capabilities to provide air intake testing and product development for the region.
On May 1, Donaldson Industrial Filtration Solutions division Donaldson Torit, which designs and manufactures industrial air filtration and pollution control systems as well as replacement filters and contaminant-reduction products, also opened a new test lab facility in Bloomington, Minnesota.
The Bloomington location has been established to evaluate combustible and non-combustible materials in new and existing filtration products. The environmentally-controlled facility features full suppression and isolation equipment, and will allow Torit to run full-sized tests on-site for more rapid product development.
“As we broaden our footprint within developed and emerging markets, these new labs will support the rigorous testing our products must endure and give us the ability to implement critical performance tests quickly, efficiently and much closer to the point of use,” engine products senior vice president Jay Ward said.
