Two die in Bulgarian coal mine collapse

TWO coal miners have died after being trapped 300m underground in a coal mine collapse in southern Bulgaria.

Staff Reporter

The Associated Press reported the miners were taken to hospital in a critical condition after being retrieved from the collapsed mine but later died.

It is the second fatal incident this year for the Oranovo Coal mine, found near the Bulgarian town of Simitli, after two miners died and seven were injured in March following an explosion at the mine.
