THE joint venture company between Atomic Resources subsidiary Pacific Corporation East Africa and Tanzanian National Development Corporation has released a technical update on its coal project in Southern Tanzania.

Based on previous exploration data the project comprises 110 million tonnes and 150Mt respectively of good quality sub-bituminous to bituminous coal within the Mgaka and Muhukuru coal fields.

Over the next six months Atomic said it would focus on verifying and validating the data to produce its own resource estimates to meet with NI 43 101 and JORC guidelines.
