Previously scheduled for November 11 and 12, the gathering at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Casper will now be held November 5 and 6.

Technical talks for the conference include “Drug Free Mine Workplace” by a representative of the US Mine Safety and Health Administration, “Injury Rehabilitation/Workplace Ergonomics” by occupational therapist Rachel Wolfe, and “Supervisory Responsibility” by MSHA’s Fred Sanchez.

Additionally, FMC Wyoming’s Dave Hutchison will present a talk on underground mine rescue and GCR Tire’s John Lewis will discuss tyre safety issues for both large and small mining vehicles.

Vendor displays will be set up at the event and time will be allotted for attendees to visit the companies and view their products and services.

The night prior to the event’s commencement, a statewide meeting of the Holmes Safety Association will be held and is open to the public.
