Runge managing director Tony Kinnane said the result was “satisfactory” in light of difficult circumstances with earnings equivalent to last year.
Runge’s Christian Larsen added that although software licence sales were delayed in the first half, many materialised in the second half of the year.
Total revenue was up 18.6% to $83.4 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation was up 13.4% to $12.7 million.
In its first full year of operation under Runge, GeoGas almost doubled its revenue.
Runge continued its global growth during the year, opening a new office in Hong Kong and posting significant revenue gains, predominantly in consulting in Asia, North America and Australia.
Kinnane highlighted Russia and Mongolia as two new markets the company planned to expand into.
Looking to the 2010 financial year and beyond, Kinnane said “market fundamentals are improving with less uncertainty within the mining industry”
Demand for Runge’s consulting services was recovering in Asia, South Africa and South America, and holding steady elsewhere.
Runge was trading unchanged at 74c mid-morning today.
