Original Bretby comes to Oz

A JOINT effort by Newtron Mining Services and Conveyor Engineering Solutions has lead to the distribution of the original Bretby cable handling system in Australia.

The Bretby original cable and hose handling chain is a well-proven system which has experienced operational success over the past 30 years.

The system has been engineered to exacting standards and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9002 and manufactured from engineering grade 6 Nylon. It has steel inserts to withstand a tensile pull in excess of 6.5 tonnes, has continuous earthing bond throughout the chain, sherardized socket head screws and a cable and hose secured by hucknall hoops (side pull) and cable ties (centre pull).

“The aim is to supply the original and best product to the Australian industry at whole sale prices creating a net saving for users,” said Newtron Mining Services’ Mark Newtron.

“The decision to market this product in Australia was brought about by end users looking for a good product without the huge price tag. Savings of up to 40% compared to competition can be realised,” he said.

“Lost to the Australian market, the Bretby brand is manufactured in the UK and sold extensively into the European and USA markets.”

Other products available through Newtron include the Parsons Mining Chains, Kuplex Lifting chains and a full range of chain maintenance and monitoring services.

Conveyor Engineering Solutions offers the Reliance Dodge Power Transmission Equipment including the very successful CST Drives and Conveyor Design and Consulting Services.
