Aquila ups Isaac Plains resource

AQUILA Resources has upped the ante at its Isaac Plans Coal Project in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, saying today it has more than tripled resource estimates at the project to a JORC compliant 135.3 million tonnes.

Isaac Plains, a joint venture between Aquila and AMCI Holding Australia, holds 32.3Mt measured, 61.6Mt indicated and 41.4Mt inferred resources. The deposits will produce both coking and PCI/thermal coal.

The planned Isaac Plains open cut project will produce two million tonnes of coal a year.

Aquila was trading at $A4.45 this morning.
