BBMC director Jodie Currie said the partnership placed a timely spotlight on the importance of building trustworthy and mutually beneficial relationships and the BBMC’s commitment in this area contributed to the sealing of the sponsorship from Downer.

“BBMC recognises the significance of continuing and expanding our industry and community relationships and having Downer on board as a principal sponsor is a perfect fit for us as they share this same commitment,” she said.

“Respectful and trustworthy relationships are key to successful business and a sustainable future. We are excited to be working with Downer and very much looking forward to achieving our mutual goals in this area.”

Downer Mining CEO David Overall said BBMC was proactive in building strong relationships within the resources sector and also the community at large.

“At Downer, our customers are at the forefront of everything that we do and it is our relationships with them that enable us to deliver shared successes,” he said.

“An important part of our business is to understand and predict our customer needs and utilise innovative thinking and technologies to transform their desires into a reality.”

Regarded as a conduit to its 5000 members and sponsors, the BBMC provides industry information and networking opportunities to those in the resource sector and hosts bi-monthly events throughout Queensland’s Bowen Basin area.
