To date 38 of 70 planned holes within the Bundi prospect have been drilled.
MetroCoal said drilling at the project had revealed satisfactory seam thickness which would allow for a “workable horizon”
The company has three drill rigs at the Bundi project as it looks to increase the confidence of the resource to an inferred status.
It has also defined the inferred resource at the Columboola joint venture project in the Surat Basin to be 540Mt.
The stage one drilling program at Columboola has been extended to 44 holes, targeting the down dip extensions of the coal seams which make up the Cameby Downs thermal coal deposit being mined by Syntech Resources.
MetroCoal said drilling at Columboola to date had confirmed continuous and correlateable seams, which continued to increase the company’s confidence in the project.
Planning for a stage two drilling program at Columboola is underway and is set to commence when additional rigs have been mobilised.
