When completed the Greta Train Support Facility will refuel, service, clean and carry out general maintenance on Pacific National’s coal train fleet in the region.

Abigroup will build five rail tracks each 2.5 kilometres long, a provisioning facility, a loco wash facility, a workshop building, carpark and access road.

The clearing of the land for the project has been completed and is ready for bulk earthworks to commence.

The contract adds to Abigroup’s project list in the region, including the Hunter Expressway, as well as similar projects for Pacific National in Nebo, Queensland which the contractor was awarded earlier this year.

The project is scheduled for completion in August 2012.
